  • 37 Weeks

I'm at 37 weeks, so he's considered 'full term' now. I will be having a c-section as he is over 9 pounds and will be much bigger next week. We don't want him to be in danger of shoulder dystocia, which is a really bad injury caused by the baby's shoulder getting caught on the way out.

I'm disappointed in having to do the c-section, especially after having to stick myself with needles 7 times a day for so many months in order to avoid a large baby. Hopefully his blood sugars will be fine when he is delivered.

I'm having a lot of swelling in my hands, feet and face. I get out of breath just from picking up a few things or putting dishes away. I can't sleep more than an hour at a time. My blood pressure is rising, so hopefully I get to deliver him  next week. I only gained half the weight I had gained when I was pregnant with Dylan. This baby is VERY active. I'm tired and ready to welcome him into the world!

I just found out I will go in for the surgery on November 12th. So that will be his birthday. I can't wait to see him!
